Michael Stohlmeyer knows what it is to suffer. Living more than thirty years with a debilitating, chronic illness has given him a deep longing for the comfort that is found in the Bible.
This website features weekly short podcasts by Michael Stohlmeyer called Anchors of Faith. These are drawn from his study of the Word of God and classic Christian literature, such as the writings of John Owen.
John Owen wrote in the days of sailing ships, when a storm arose at sea, the sailors used all their skill to keep their ship afloat. At the storm's height the last resort was to cast out an anchor into the ocean to steady the ship. He compared those life-saving anchors to the great truths of scripture.
